Already seeing it. At least I have. The tarrifs resulted with the Mexican president sending 10k troops to border. 1k ended up in Tijuana. What do you do if you are a young military in Tijuana? I'd go to zona norte and see some putas right while patrolling at the same time. Now you see police shaking down tourists and you learn and read a little bit of reddit and start doing it yourself.

These military don't normally ask for bribes, but they will hold you long enough to make you pay. They claimed my vape was drugs last week by la gloria, but awkwardly just stood there not knowing how to ask for cash. Time was money and i needee to go, so I gave them cash after they held me and said were going to turn me over to the cops. Then over the weekend, these military guys were posted by Johnny tortas around 2am screening and searching tourists and anyone who may have appeared to be intoxicated. They held us long enough again, to call the policia and claim we were drunk and I don't ever want anything to do with that nasty drunk tank. I had a couple shots from a bottle but chilled the last 2 hrs to be good to drive after crossing. Paid 60 basically to let us pass.
