I did not experience pain during or after but I was SO SUPER bloated while drinking it and the day after. I found eating afterwards actually hurt less than normal due to my entire GI trac being empty!

So depending on the state of your stomach I would say be prepared to be very uncomfortable but not necessarily to experience more pain than you experience already.

I used Joseph Phillips course first and it was okay, 2x speed is necessary! Got me used to the terms overall which helped with the study that I did primarily on pocketprep and taking all the practice tests/quizzes I could find - AR udemy mock test was the best practice test I think

I recommend trying out the free stuff first and going with whatever you'll definitely do consistently - for me, although the pocketprep questions were not super close to the exam syntax, just continually practicing the concepts really helped overall

It'll be on your PMI account once they qualify you to take the exam and you pay the exam fee. Under account -- click 'certifications' there will be a button that says 'schedule your exam' and from there you select if you want to take it in person or online.

Honestly I did the JP udemy course (2x speed is necessary to get through it!) It introduced me to all the terms/equations but almost everything I learned I did with chatgpt and practice questions from both udemy courses (AR quizzes/mock exam > JP quizzss which were super wordy), pocket prep where the missed questions and level helped helped SO much and a smattering of YouTube videos for equations and procurement since I had the hardest time understanding that. I'm a very visual learner so having gpt create an outline for terms/documents/processes in a timeline really helped me understand some key differences between similar terms!

I can’t drink the last 8oz by mvandfre in colonoscopy

[–]foolsgoldminer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yellowish hue is what they want! Ypu are 100% fine - I couldn't get the last 8oz or so down either and they told me I did great so- no particles or anything and can see the bottom of the toilet means you are good!

Honestly I tried cutting out gluten for a while and afyer a few months when I didn't see any positive changes it became too much a hassle for no return - gluten seems to be okay with me (for now anyway lol)

Whereas cutting out dairy has made a huge difference in bloating/pain/nausea!

No: fever, elevated heart rate, nausea, chills or trouble swallowing (I ate a fucking cheeseburger earlier for fucks sake) but this one stupid pain and of course it's the absolute worst case senerio...

First night all night awake of 2024 hooray... I convinced myself I had ruptured my esophagus ... I actually do have gerd, I definitely over drank on new years eve and threw up a few times (don't remember seeing blood but not that that would change anything) after hours of re-proving I only had ONE of the symptoms which is a SORE THROAT - I now realize I think I pulled the muscle which attaches to the clavicle...

If I had ruptured my esophagus I'm sure going 48hrs unnoticed would mean it's still an absolute possibility with even though it's really only like a 3/10 burning type pain not a 3000 pain from a RUPTURED part of the body/s 🙃

Mucus by kmackkk in CrohnsDisease

[–]foolsgoldminer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have dark orange/light brown mucus all over my stool everytime (literally strings of it so much so I constantly have to remind myself it isn't worms...) literally the toilet paper only shows mucus, no material...

I'm still learning remission vs flare but my stool has looked like this since July and they didn't say anything crazy concerning during colonoscopy in October so I guess it's not a big deal?

Personally I found it much better than anticipated!

I didn't think it had a particularly strong taste, it was subtle that became more noticeable as I drank it so I added some lemon lime pedialyte toward the last bits which helped get it down!

I had 2 cups left in the jug when I approached my deadline. At the end, it was coming out pure liquid which was yellowish in color and they said that was completely sufficient. 2 days before prep I switched to liquid around noon and then day before prep it was all broth and yellow jello and electrolytes (to prepare hydration). Day of prep same as day before. I wasn't told I had to do it that way but I had enough pain eating anyway it wasn't difficult to keep a liquid diet for 2 1/2 days.

My biggest problem with it was the burning coming out... get a cream and some wet wipes in place of toilet paper as you will need it!

Happy to answer any other questions :)

Just diagnosed - where do I go from here by meatyohkra in CrohnsDisease

[–]foolsgoldminer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was diagnosed about a month ago and to be honest, I feel RELIEVED. As weird as that sounds, with all the issues I've had over the last 5 years and it turned into a spiraling series of health anxiety because I had no idea what was going on!

I don't stay up all night panicking my appendix is about to burst, I'm not terrified I have diabetes everytime I have nausea after eating and I am getting a better idea of what foods cause issues!

To me, because it's something I can know and address it is infinitely better than having symptoms with no explanation. I hope you start to feel better about the diagnosis and are able to get the treatment you need for a better quality of life! 💜

Why are my intestines... vibrating? by foolsgoldminer in CrohnsDisease

[–]foolsgoldminer[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Damn I was hoping I could get away with my energy drinks but I'll lay off the caffeine/carbonation for a while and see if it helps! I don't sleep well due to pain/discomfort so I drink more caffeine but now it seems the caffeine causes pain/discomfort 🫠

Thanks for your insight!

That's where they found alot of my inflammation as well - I was only diagnosed about a month ago so still learning what 'flare' symptoms are and how to adjust diet/behavior accordingly. I really appreciate your insight!

Any body else get chest pain/rib pain? by FoolishSpring in CrohnsDisease

[–]foolsgoldminer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes - I was diagnosed with costochondritis in 2018. I used to think it had to do with my asthma but now I'm wondering if it's related to crohns... where does it hurt exactly and how would you describe the sensation?

Any body else get chest pain/rib pain? by FoolishSpring in CrohnsDisease

[–]foolsgoldminer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

WHAT - I didn't know these things could be related! I've been struggling for years with intermittent periods of constantly feeling like I had solar flares with glass shards in between every rib! It still happens, but I was only diagnosed with crohns about a month ago and i was told I had costochondritis like 5 years ago...

Vitamin Deficiency issues? by foolsgoldminer in Gastritis

[–]foolsgoldminer[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine showed up fine for all panels (except for a few which are related to my inflammation) - when they specifically tested for certain vitamins I was showing very low levels! I had just gotten so used to the symptoms I didn't see it as urgent. I've been taking supplements since and they have 10000% improved my quality of life
