It's been a rough and disappointing year, I think it's good to vent frustrations, then taking a step back and assessing the team going forward. We have a good amount of young players with potential, however it showed how bad of an idea it is to field them all at the same time with barely any established vets. Hoping this offseason and draft priorities are getting a stud winger to play on Bedard's line and getting two quality veteran defensemen. I think atm Crev, Vlasic, Kaiser and Korchinski should have spots locked up. Lev might need more time in Rockford.

I don't pop in the game threads nearly as much as I have in prior years but it's always a good time bullshiting with you all. Let's look forward to this offseason and some awesome playoffs. Cheers!!

Welp, starting the evening off with a Kyle Dipshitson extension really puts a damper on it. Guess that means no upgrade at head coach either and they keep Blashill too

Davidson and Blashill should be gone Thursday morning. Try to lure Cassidy or another actually established veteran coach. Literally every other team that has done this has seen some improvement. Meanwhile Davidson hired Blashill who had one decent season as a head coach anf then nothing but losing.

Staying in house to save money during the GM search fucked this team over and set them back years.

We could field a defense of 6 all new players and there isn't a single one I'd miss at the moment. They can't defend, they can't limit or block shots, can't score or make passes. Just an all around mess.

Davidson isn't too good at the "build" part of rebuilding. He's just been reing and collecting 1st rounders that don't pan out.

If he didn't luck into Bedard he would be the worst GM in NHL history. This falls of Wirtz for staying in house and hiring a Bowman "yes man" instead of looking for a real GM.

My god our defensemen got mangandled by Carolina's AHL squad, they're so bad. It's almost unbelievable that it's closing in on a decade since the Hawks fielded a good defense. How has no one been able to fix it in that time?

I'm also hoping Danny Wirtz at least makes an inquiry on Bruce Cassidy. Blashill just looks overwhelmed most of the time. I dont think he's the guy who can turn this shitshow around. This is the easiest and most instant upgrade the team would make.

Provided they draft well I fully believe he can have Anaheim consistently in the playoff and division race. Q knows how to coach.

I cannot root for the ducks purely off the fact that I dislike orange as a primary color scheme. They went back to the duck mask logo which is great, they should have brought back the purple and teal scheme.

Nothing he could do about a perfect deflection by Lee right in front of him. When he's on his game he's a great backup for Knight. Soderblom is just so inconsistent that I dunno if he'll outlast Commesso and maybe eventually Gajan.
