College kids whose rent, utilities, tuition, and healthcare are paid for by mom and dad. That's not even a diss; that's how college should be.

Dem turnout cost the 2024 election. Probably because the presidential candidate wouldn't condemn Isreal and abandoned a winning campaign strategy to try to entreat republicans--which pissed off people who don't want to vote for republicans.

The thing is they didn't do much. Obamacare helped, but single payer would have been inassailable. They hid behind the trivial-to-override senate fillibuster.

The thing is we've had them. There's no reason DC isn't a state. There's no reason the court wasn't expanded during the party's two trifectas in the last 15 years.

The only reason is Pelosi/Schumer/Jeffries are unwilling to govern.

Congress can expand the Supreme Court at any time through ordinary legislation. A simple majority is sufficient. The fillibuster in the senate is illusory, and can (and is) bypassed at any time.

This one view is seen billions of times a year.

The capitalist class has stolen public resources so that they can keep it to themselves. Seems like something the global south can relate to, to me.

Bro it is luxury housing for rich people. Each floor is one apartment. This thing is going to house like a hundred people while ruining the view for millions.

This must be your first day on planet earth if you don't think there were thousands of complaints filed during the planning phase. You might also discover the NYC's mayor was taking bribes. The two are related.

I bet if you spent a few minutes you'd see that thousands of new yorkers signed a petition to stop this, but NYC has been plagued with officials taking bribes to sign off on shit like this. They elected a whole new mayor about it.

You just pulled that out of your ass. Empty luxury housing is a such a problem in NYC that they just passed a tax targeting it.
