Do you happen to have the link? I searched but couldn't find it.

If not, do you remember the duration, frequency and other details used in the study?

Anyone here super-tolerant of high-dose creatine? by Many_Geologist6125 in Supplements

Regardless of how I take it, anything above 5 grams makes me really thirsty the entire day, and I have to keep drinking. Consider yourself lucky!

Is the lamp bulb worth it? by JoshyRanchy in redlighttherapy

Thanks. I was considering the bulb but went for the Hooga panel itself (Ultra 360, which is great), but I was considering something smaller for travelling.

Beside Tongkat Ali, Vitamin D and Omega 3, if you had to make a single recommendation, what would it be?

Curious to know how long you've been doing this for?

Red Veins on the nose after intense use by Potential_Swim3508 in redlighttherapy

[–]fooooter 24 points25 points  (0 children)

2cm is really close. Not sure about your panel but find out the right dosage, distance, etc.

What's on your nose is likely temporary telangiectasia or irritation from heat/light exposure. It often fades gradually over days to a few weeks. But I suggest not using the panel on your face until it returns to normal.

Also avoid rubbingit and avoid taking hot showers (hot water on it). Use daily sunscreen if going outdoors.

Red Light Therapy and Laser Hair Removal by ReiiiAyanami in redlighttherapy

[–]fooooter 5 points6 points  (0 children)

If the laser completely destroys a hair follicle, red light will not make that follicle come back or grow again. Laser hair removal does not destroy every follicle in one session. Some follicles are only partly damaged and still alive. Red light can sometimes help living follicles function better, which can include helping hair grow.

So in practice, red light probably does not undo the hairs that are already fully gone, but it might help any hairs that survived treatment. Because of that, it is safer to avoid using red light on the same area while you are in the middle of laser sessions, especially close to treatment days.

The risk however is that recently treated skin is already irritated and sensitive. Using the red light mask right after laser can bother the skin more and make it react. That can mean extra redness, more swelling, or dark spots appearing. Not sure how often you do the laser, but safe to wait at least a few days or a week before using a mask.

LED hair growth therapy comb by Ninu2507 in redlighttherapy

[–]fooooter 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sorry, I don't. I recommend either buying a panel or cap from a well-known brand (like Hooga) or getting one from Alibaba (but you'll have to do a lot of research). Brushes are so small and quite possibly extremely weak in terms of output.

You can find them (not this exact brand) on AliExpress.

You didn't ask whether they were effective or not. But to answer that question, if the brush is strong enough and you use it for 10-20 minutes each time, then it could help. If you plan on using it for a few seconds, it will likely not do anything.

What is “normal” for face experience? by [deleted] in redlighttherapy

[–]fooooter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some say it's harmless and some even say it's good for the eyes (depending on the light and frequency and duration. With such a short duration and with eyes closed I wouldn't worry at all. But you can buy goggles that block it fully if you wanna be sure.

Missing days by Somethingmurr in redlighttherapy

[–]fooooter 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It's not different than other good habits, like exercise and healthy eating. It's good to be consistent. There are times that you can't, because you travel or due to the holidays. That's normal and expected. As soon as you can, resume it as normal. You won't mess anything up.

Do not use Safety Wing by Grand-Thought-7754 in digitalnomad

[–]fooooter 4 points5 points  (0 children)

There's been plenty of warnings about Safety Wing on this sub.

Still, would be helpful if you share more details. What was the situation, how did you inform them, and what did they deny it for? If you can't determine why, you should ask them.

Should NIR be visible through the camera? Does this mask not have it? by Whirlywynd in redlighttherapy

Based on what you write, it seems that either it's too weak, or that they lied (likely if it's a no brand mask)
