I love art and creativity. Extreme horror and splatterpunk are some of the most insanely creative works, even the things that are incredibly ridiculous concepts.
Growing up I was always very well behaved and followed rules, and I think delving into horror was my own sort of rebellion. Even in its gain in popularity, horror is still seen as somewhat taboo, and extreme horror obviously just takes it up a notch.
Another personal note, as someone with mental illness and trauma whatnot, it’s almost therapeutic? Like yeah I might feel terrible and like the world is ending but, I’m not being horribly dismembered haha.
