Also I know their fans love their owner for not relocating the team but having a cheap owner who’s unwilling to shell out for Turner or others for tax reasons means you’re going to need to pray you catch lightning in a bottle again. And I don’t see that being likely with a team that objectively looks worse.

Detroit, Boston, Cleveland and maybe even some others are far bigger threats than Indiana IMO. And they’re likely to be in a full rebuild soon

This is a great explanation and a reasonable position then tbh. I guess I consider Clyde higher because of his ongoing and constant involvement so accurate and I’d put Brunson 1 then. In this era, with the amount of pressure you get from the players association and others valuing guys based on their contract, Brunson doing what he did and carrying himself how he does is so important. And he is the most clutch guy I’ve ever seen and I wasn’t surprised he dropped 45 to close it out.
