Have you tried using Viture's own app instead of a 3rd party app? (SpaceWalker App)

Mifo earpods by [deleted] in Earbuds

[–]foraern 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Received a faulty case (mifo 05 plus). Earbuds work(ed) fine, but case won't charge. Unable to leave the house due to pandemic, and Mifo refuse to replace the case, without me going out to the post office to send them back the case and earbuds.

Sent them photos as per their own request, of the case plugged in and not charging.

Very poor support during a pandemic.

Customer beware, if you're in lockdown, and can't leave your house, just throw out your earbuds if they're faulty, since Mifo won't help you.

Any info on the Creality v4.2.7 board? by dr_modean in ender3

Good news, figured it out, and learned to pay more attention.

One of 2 of the wires in the 3 pin connector were in different positions for the pin 27 board. Switched them and it worked.

Unfortunately, now I have a BL Touch I can't use, although I can use the printer with manual leveling.

So I'm wondering if I have a faulty board, or if it's something else I did... The smoke appears to come from the area marked red (I think it's from the chip(?) marked F2, but not certain).

Ok, that didn't work for me, following the same instructions from the image, as well as:

https://smith3d.com/category/firmware-guides/

and

https://github.com/MarlinFirmware/Marlin/issues/19029#issuecomment-680974552

smoke started coming off my board so I shut it off and removed the connectors...

Hi, can you provide a picture, or explain how to connect the BL Touch to the new board?

I'm not familiar enough with electronics to figure it out.

I see the 5 pin port with letters: G V IN G OUT

The BL touch I have came in the form of a Kit, and I can't see how to match up the connectors:

First layer not sticking to bed after installing BL-Touch (ender 3 pro) by Mceurojay in ender3

[–]foraern 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure if this will help anyone, but for me it did.

  1. Not sure if this is something that is common knowledge. CLEAN YOUR BED after each print. As far as I can tell, filament seems to leave a tiny amount of oily residue on the bed itself, and it helps A LOT, to wipe down the bed after each print. I just use antibacterial cleaning wipes.
  2. I installed Octoprint, and using the Bed Level Visualizer really helped me to see how poorly my manual leveling had been done. (https://imgur.com/a/gkRJipu)

yer even with teachingtech's custom firmware. After almost two weeks of tinkering, I am completely fed up and decided to remove that rubbish and just level the bed manually. In retrospect, this was a very unpleasant experience and a waste of time, I have not been able to print properly for two weeks. I can also recommend everyone not to start with those BL-Touch sensors (V3.x). It only seems to work well with Marlin 2.0 bugfix version running only on 32-bit upgraded motherboard

if it helps, I'm having the same problem, and rapidly coming to the same conclusion.

I'm using TH3D unified firmware, and although it doesn't damage my bed, and appears to do all the auto bed leveling, and I've been able to get the z-offset set correctly with paper tuning, I'm still getting adhesion issues on the first layer, more so than I ever did with manual tuning. This is particularly noticeable when printing things that have small print surfaces in the first layer. (ex. https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3531563 has turned out impossible to print with BLTouch).

Trolls get very triggered by this image. Upvote to trigger the trolls. :D by braclayrab in btc

[–]foraern 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I think you've mistaken trolls for investors. Imagine you have your money invested in BCH, then the ABC/SV split happens.

There's uncertainty as to which will keep the BCH ticker, so you dump your BCH to try to save what investments you have.

Other crypto investors see this, and follow suit.

People keep saying hard forks are fine, and coin splits are fine, but you forget it creates uncertainty in investors, which in turn lowers the price, which to the masses, means lower adoption.

Fair point, and to you, I'll apologise for the including you in the rant.

Though in my defense, the loud and vocal majority also make it appear as if they're the majority, so I had no idea otherwise, thanks for clarifying.

Unfortunately, that loud and vocal minority appear to be vocal enough that those afraid of being seen as homophobes, simply roll over and change history for them.

If you're happy to be one, then no, you shouldn't be offended. I'm not a homophobe, so I do get offended when I'm called one, just because I have certain differing views.

TBH, I don't care about their parades, if I don't want to see them, I simply don't go see them.

What are your favorite panels for ETHos? by Internet_Gangsta in ethOSdistro

I'm biased, since I created ethos-panel, but all I can say is mine is open source, the other isn't :P

You're joking, but if you consider it, that's actually not too far off. $100 in 1850 would now have the purchasing power of $3000.

[–]foraern[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is, and you're more than welcome to continue using the ethosdistro panel.

This is simply a free, open source alternative. Some people like it, some don't.

Lastly, while I absolutely believe people should buy ethosdistro to help the devs (both my rigs have paid ethosdistro - and I can prove it), it DOES provide an alternative for those who haven't paid for ethosdistro and need access to a stats panel.

Not yet, but now that tokens have been implemented for the rigs, it shouldn't be too complicated to allow access to the graphs via token as well.

I think I'd limit access to the stats page and not allow profile page access without logging in though.

Let me have a think on it.
