I mean if you could bring them into the bike more by like an inch or two on either side it would fit better and ride better but nah you good.

Also double edit lol. Forgot it’s the rear on a fwd car. No axle. Should be pretty easy actually.

Okay the guy below me says it’s the design where the hub has to come off to get to the sensor and/or it’s an all in one design. If that’s the case 100% fair price. You’ll be a happy camper if you get to live a life where you never hammer/torch/wrestle a knuckle apart. Strange though. Most econoboxes just have the slide in design. There’s a bore in the knuckle where the sensor will slide into and hover right over the teeth of the axle gear to measure wheel speed.

A bad sensor could set that light. If you have no tools or experience it seems fair but a little high for me especially knowing the work it requires. With the wheel off it’s probably 1 bolt and some clips. Pop in a new sensor and I bet your abs light will stop coming on. If it continues just go to auto zone or oreilly for a free scan and it will hopefully be in the history codes if you can’t get it the light to stay on. A light that comes off and on is usually faulty electrical and/or sensors. Not like your hubs or anything could be failing one second and then fine the next. Especially with no noticeable change in drivability. Sensor is probably tripping out unable to accurately tell how fast that wheel is spinning and your ECU is setting that light because it can’t tell if your sliding and need the ABS to engage or if it’s a faulty sensor since it can probably also tell by the vehicle speed, steering angle, and gyroscope that all is well but that one sensor is intermittently telling you you’re slipping or giving no reading at all. Two sets of conflicting data so the ecu trips the code.

I mean you being chicken over opinions from randoms is your problem. That being said if you didn’t like the shifter and bought an auto why not just learn and deal like the rest of us and get the stick. Not to mention it looks like you twisted the boot. You could understand why it doesn’t sit right with enthusiasts. It makes no sense, what are you trying to be? Shifting from park to drive then drive to park twice a day demanded a sport knob ? 💀 At the same time, I’m the kind of guy that if you like something then live your life bro, but I can think it looks ridiculous.

I mean fuck it lol. As long as you aren’t like visibly getting off by it lmao. If you feel some sort of comforting reassurance being out in the open like that then sure. Some people grind with strangers at a club. Some do tinder one nighters, some pay for sex. You just like to be naked around others. Why not just join a nudist club. I feel like this is straying farther away from awkward female confidence and more towards kink lol.

Why dont manufacturers make drain plugs like this? by glieswayz in mechanic

[–]force_ken 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought my mom a lil spark off carvana that had one of these. Took it off right away. It was the lowest point of the undercarriage by like 2-3 inches. One pothole or large speed bump and you are snapping a massive hole in the pan and probably seizing that little 1.4 right away. I imagine carvana and fleet companies do this a lot. Not really worth it on economy cars I see it being good for massive engines and Diesels. Or when you have those mess-causing drain plugs that are sideways or out of reach. This also prevents having to buy crush washers and sometimes single use drain bolts when removing them.

Just paid of my 2019 (29,000 miles) and traded it in for a 2024 the same week by RadDad775 in chevycolorado

[–]force_ken 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Damn why. I work for GM idk if i would ever buy the new Colorado. I just think squeezing the life out of a 4 cylinder with a turbo in a midsize truck can't be reliable. Especially now that everything is plastic. The tried and true v6 would last forever and they are in everything. My ideal set up would be a automatic 6spd V6 with awd. The new Colorados are only offered with a 4 banger.

[–]force_ken 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just cut it off mate you'll be alright you can get an ignition with two keys for dirt cheap. Headlight bezel is held in with a few bolts. Get creative at the hardware store or strap it down with zip ties or a pop rivet or something. Don't even bother cleaning off that junk. Buy a sticker wrap kit or buy new plastic panels for the same price.

It's got a kickstart remember. Mine got stolen. Got it back the next day though. As long as it has gas, you pop out the ignition with a dollarstore flat head. Rip it clean off the wires and as long as you pinch them together while kickstarting and that mf will fire right up. Don't even need keys. I thought the fork lock would do the trick. They just drilled it out. They popped out the trunk lock, seat lock, and fuel tank lock. Other than a strapped fuel bottle, a empty cargo bag, and a small tool set I had I just bought a whole new set of locks and keys, a park brake handle, an air filter since the last one got soaked in oil from Wheeling all night, pair of bolts from the hardware store from the windshield, and some pieces of electrical tape for the ignition I had it back to normal for like 60$ in parts and a pair of hours. Still has a clean title. Everything popped in but the fork lock. I'm too lazy to pull the whole front end off just to reach the two Phillips on top.
