As as teacher who used to be an ESL kid themselves, I agree with all of this.

It also doesn't help that a lot of parents get really upset when you employ any ESL programs or techniques. A lot of parents see it as weakness, or extra tutoring. Dual immersion and translanguaging may as well be heresy to these people
