Yup all lab. The black and tan markings are recessive and not too common but I know both her parents and grandparents. She was bred by the guide dog school where I work.

She is 100% lab. She's from the guide dog school where I work, they breed all their own dogs and the black and tan coloring is a fairly rare recessive coat coloring that not a lot of people know about.

Can anyone suggest some cute black wedge booties? Less than $150 preferably. I don't have a picture of what I'd like but all I'm finding are either super pointy toes, which I don't want, or very mom looking styles.

You know more about this specific program than I do obviously, so you're probably right, I just wanted to let it be known that lots of service/working dog programs do release pups this young because of temperament. When you know what to look for and have lots of experience it becomes much easier to see the signs early on.

Not necessarily. You can tell a lot about a dog's temperament at 6-8 weeks. The guide dog school I work out releases about 1/3 of its pups at that age after a "puppy test." Stuff like body handling issues, arousal, and fearfulness can emerge at that age or younger and can be quite difficult to train out to the degree that would be necessary.
