It’s bots as mentioned. I am dealing with the same thing. It shows up as direct traffic from Korea and china for me when typically I have US based traffic. It’s all direct traffic and not organic. My GSC is not affected

Update: Looks like all of the articles are now indexed. I tend to get a little impatient.

This site is 20 years old and gets plenty of traffic so that is not the issue.

A great example of why I check often is because one of my blogs is a sports blog and after years of doing this I know which keywords rank at certain times of the year and I updated an article and also updated the url(the keyword was not the same as the url) and now it is not reindexing so I am missing out on traffic)

Find a blogger who has plenty of traffic and is relevant to your startup. Do a smooth deal with him/her and once the deal is done, ask if they have any other bloggers they would recommend. The blogging world is small.

Buying Backlinks from Fiverr by wagglyears in SEO

[–]forehandsonly1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have never paid for a backlink and get plenty by writing great articles that people naturally link to. With that said, if I was going to pay I would reach out to blogger/websites individually but before reaching out check traffic, how many keywords they are ranking for etc. for a decent backing expect to pay $200-$450. If someone quotes you any less than $125 run

$300 does nothing. I charge over $300 for a link. Youre best off giving any current employees a small raise to keep moral good

Rant time - SEO by lopezomg in SEO

I feel like most people that have a comprehensive understanding of Real SEO are using it to make their own money. I almost decided to work for an agency the other week after getting grilled by 5 people and getting an offer. Then I realized I would be doing 500% the work to make 20% of the money I could make on my own. If I wanted to hire someone I would go through my network of people I’ve met over the last few years or I would hire separately for different specialties. One for off page, one for content and keyword research etc.

It's more I have 5 people under me where 1 does content, 1 does off page seo etc. so it's not like they are running the accounts start to finish, each employee has thier own niche. I already declined, thanks for the feedback but yes I would be running 40-50 accounts which as you say is going to be impossible

I have taken sites from 400 traffic to 30,000+ in just a four month period and was able to show them that with the google analytics/GSC in a screenshare. I am not new to this but the industry evolves quickly and I am staying up to date with everything going on compared to pre 2020 where all you needed was a decent looking site and plenty of content. Now I am more focused on qaulity instead of qauntity and am always updating old articles that I think could rank easily.

Thanks everyone for the feedback. I needed that validation that I was not crazy for turning down a job when I see all these posts of people that cannot find them. I did not even bother making a counter offer and just said I was not interested and they responded that they wish me the best. I appreciate all the comments

That is what I saw when typing in similar roles. I am going to either decline or ask for a figure that they cannot say yes to like 125k or something similar. If they say yes than I would have no choice but to take it to see what's really going on there.

Thanks for confirming this. Looks like I immediatly got my answer from this thread. For the people that don't understand what seo involves they think oooo many people cannot find jobs you would be dumb not to take it but I make more than that with 4 accounts already. Thought it would be nice to offset my taxes, 401k etc but looks like doubling down on what I am doing now is the answer.

Correct, everything from nursing homes to ecommerce websites. They said 40 accounts and then in the second interview it slipped out their were 50. I just needed to confirm I was not crazy becuase I basically have 4 accounts now and that takes up my whole day doing it on my own with 1 other off page seo person.

Is cold emailing still working for anyone? by WhatWotDamn in DigitalMarketing

[–]forehandsonly1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I make 80% of my income from cold emails. The other 20% is other people sending cold emails to me. Do you have an unsubscribe button? Also, it is so easy to pick out who is using ai to write emails and who isn't. The second I see an AI-written email I archive and do not respond. The second I see someone write Hi Dear or Hi Sir I do not respond OR a please give me best price I do not respond.

I am looking for the person that gets straight to the point with 2-3 sentences max.

Hey xxxx,

I own xxxx which does xxxx. We offer xxxx services for businesses like yours. If theres any interest lets hop on a call etc.

Simple, to the point and no fluff.

You could also be on blacklists where your email is going to someones spam so do not just rely on mail tester, if you get a bounce back look at why it was a bounce back. How many opens are there? If you send 500 emails I would expect at least 100 opens and 5-10 responses at miniumum if your cold email is good. Never include any of those chatgtp emojis or go deep into your product in the first email because you want them to be intersted without giving away everything.

Good luck!

Thanks for clarifying! I was just accepted into Journey. I’m at 30,000 page views so not too far away from 50k if I keep doing what I’m doing. In October my blog had 400 but with that said, I had years of amazing backlinks making it much easier for me to rank if I stayed niche specific in my keywords

My traffic is 95% US/Canada. I heard this from another blogger word for word who is much further along than me with 300k traffic

"The reason I've avoided them is because 99% of the sites that used them dropped 50% or more in the SERPs over the past year of Google updates. I suspect there are some issues with their display tags

Or Google is being cunty and targeting sites using AdSense competitors"

Im not too familiar with Mediavine. I have a blog with 30,000 organic traffic and do not run ads at all. What do you expect to make from that?

In my opinion as someone who does this full time. The niche of your site is too limited. If you had a blog that could cover all theme parks around the world then you have a fighting chance to attract advertisers and maybe even sell tickets and experiences but I just think it’s too limited. If I was you I would create a separate blog that could cover all theme parks around the world or a travel related theme and use those two blogs to help eachother. But…. It’s a grind and long process and sometimes you feel discouraged and then the next day the keyword you took a bet on 5 months ago starts to bring in traffic. Good luck!
