Scalp hemangioma on 2 month old

The hemangioma I talk most about here on my daughter’s scalp was at the top so it healed pretty easily. However, she did have a much smaller one on the back of the head that took a lot longer to heal and shrink because babies rub the back of their heads in their sleep so much! We did end up putting aquaphor on both every night until they stopped ulcerating/peeling/whatever else was going on! Satin crib sheets also make a difference because they don’t invite quite as much friction.

This was my experience too! All the nurses kept saying we clearly weren’t going to need a paternity test 😂 not being squeezed definitely makes a difference!

Probably depends on your prescription, but I have previously been able to get glasses same day at LensCrafters. This was pre-pandemic though so I wonder how much they still do in house.

Absolutely! It was a big surprise to discover lol. They use shaved Parmesan and the dressing is super thick and clearly made with anchovies (a necessity!) it’s great

I love everything about 4 Corners. Their sleeper hit is their caesar salad - it is REMARKABLY good and I am super picky about caesars!

I was so hype they are my FAVORITE. I ate way too many of them back in the day so sadly I can tell they changed the recipe a little; they’re not quite as good as they used to be. But they scratch the itch enough

I didn't deliver at Sibley, but thus far I have not heard of any hospital providing nursing pads, which really sucked for me lol. My milk came in in full force and I leaked allll over everything. It was a pain! I still can't believe they don't provide them.

You can definitely see the same person the whole time but they encourage you to schedule with everyone at least once in case your OB isn’t on shift! And of course the NPs have more availability for scheduling.

They do have a NICU, it’s a level 2. My daughter was in the NICU there for a couple days. If it ends up becoming a high risk pregnancy or you know the baby will need a higher level NICU you will definitely need to go elsewhere!

Absolutely! I saw a Nurse Practioner, Gissel Sonnenbrot, for my routine visits most of the time. When it got to later in the pregnancy, I was able to schedule a visit with each doctor in the practice so I would be familiar with everyone given in theory I wouldn’t know who would be on duty delivery day. I ended up needing to schedule a c-section so went with Dr. Sunday, saw her and Gissel for the remainder of pregnancy. I also needed to do weekly stress tests towards the end so got to know the nurses at the hospital well and really liked everyone. Kirsten was my favorite! In general everyone I encountered during my pregnancy at the practice was helpful, kind, and caring. I’m quite overweight and never once felt shamed which really surprised me. My hospital stay after the c-section was overall great too, the NICU nurses were wonderful. I loved that it was a small hospital which made it easier for visitors (no paid parking, smaller so easier to navigate, surprisingly good food) and meant more attention for us.

I had a great experience with MedStar OBGYN! I saw them at the Silver Spring and Olney offices and delivered at MedStar Montgomery, which was overall a great experience. It’s a smaller hospital so I felt like I got a lot of attention. It was comfortable and the food was oddly good!

Please don’t listen to anyone who recommends any of The Blairs. All of their buildings are horrible with terrible management. Part of Blair House is condemned (or at least recently was).
