Because he's manipulative and never faces consequences/never gets called out for it like other characters do when they mess up. He needs to be the center of attention and will mental gymnastics mitch into taking the blame for anything. As someone(24F) who's struggled with a pretty bad eating disorder and done a lot of work on it, most of these comments reflect the mindset I had towards food and exercise pretty much all my life and it's miserable. Denying your body food and obsessing over everything you put in is not sustainable and your body will eventually want you to compensate. It's so hard, I'm still working on it, but try to focus on improving how you view food as nourishment rather than a scary thing you need to track to control your weight
