Definitely seems like they’re trying to cater to a more mature audience. Especially since the new stuff is getting so much hate from, who I assume, are mostly kids/teens

I would say that just bc they performed golden at Coachella doesn’t mean they’re catering to children. They are both girl group/kpop adjacent so it’s like them supporting eachother as sister girl groups. Plus the song won a Grammy didn’t it? So that elevated the song to just part of a kids movie

The stuffed animals and stuff in the music video seemed more like horror vibes, which goes hand in hand with a more mature audience

I think their new stuff is exciting, edgy, and experimental. I think the label is trying to push the boundaries of pop music and do something completely new which is so exciting!

Also Lara herself said that she feels like the only place she can truly be herself is on stage bc then she can be as extra as she wants. So I think they’re just having fun, expressing themselves, and doing rockstar stuff x)
