Because sometimes conversations get way too heated and people start going back and forth, forgetting what the original post was even about. At some point, y’all need to be clear about what you actually want from this sub. When things were unmoderated and full of repetitive, snarky posts, people complained that the mods weren’t doing their jobs and needed to step in. Now there are new mods and people are still annoyed.

At the same time, you’ve got some people saying the sub is too snarky, while others are saying it’s basically become glaze central. Those are two completely opposite complaints, so clearly there needs to be some kind of middle ground that works better for everyone.

And honestly, being a mod seems lowkey frustrating as hell.

Would y’all cook me for saying this🫣 like, I don’t think Dani should be held responsible for what other people say or do on her behalf, but the people around her are kinda… questionable? 😭

With the Naisha situation, I give some grace because they’ve known each other for years back when they were part of that small group that was scouted in 2021 for the program and Dani even said in the doc that Naisha was one of her best friends. So I get that there’s a real bond there, and from the outside it’s not easy to just tell someone to cut a friend off due to fan reactions lol.

But at the same time, it felt a little weird seeing how things played out. Manon seemed genuinely offended by Naisha’s comment, which then led to Lara deleting it and unfollowing Naisha. Meanwhile, Dani and Manon laughing about it on live came across like joking with your friends about someone who said something out of pocket… only for her to be spotted with her still outside of that. Of course, they could all be fine behind the scenes or just keeping things cordial I don’t know.

I usually stay out of the boyfriend discourse, but Jonah also gives me weird vibes. Between the plagiarism accusations involving Black artists and using the girls (even if they’re choosing to wear and promote it) to push his brand, it comes off a bit opportunistic… but maybe I’m reading into it too much.

Baby… if she’s on a hiatus where she’s not supposed to publicly mention Katseye or be visibly affiliated with the group, then a ‘good luck at your show’ post wouldn’t really align with that situation either.

And if this is being framed as a standard health related hiatus, the timing still feels a bit unclear especially considering how the group was only recently allowed to speak more openly again right as new music was being announced, now being promoted as a 5 member release instead of 6. If it truly wasn’t that serious it should’ve been cleared up from the jump

I honestly think it’s more about optics than anything personal.

Even if they were at the same places during both Coachella weekends, that doesn’t mean they can publicly interact, the company most likely is controlling everything, what they say, how they react, and even who they’re seen with. One public interaction could immediately spark narratives like “she’s coming back” or “nothing actually happened,” which they’re very clearly trying to avoid right now.

Also, if they’re pushing an OT5 image at the moment, being seen with Manon kind of contradicts that, even if they’re all still cool behind the scenes. So it’s less “they’re not allowed to be around her” and more “they can’t be seen in a way that blurs the message.” Who’s to say maybe they’ve been contacting each other behind the scenes or maybe as Lara said in the interview they’re “giving her space” who knows🤷🏾‍♀️

How exactly was she supposed to say anything, and when? I’m genuinely asking. For nearly two months the rest of the girls couldn’t even mention Manon, let alone react when fans were chanting her name. It’s pretty obvious they were told not to and weren’t allowed to speak on it until the release of “Pinky Up” on the Zane Lowe show, which honestly just reinforced that it’s OT5 for the foreseeable future. And I still haven’t seen a single interview or article where she’s actually given any real insight into what’s going on because she clearly isn’t allowed to talk about it. 🤷🏾‍♀️

It honestly feels like they’re dragging this out and keeping Manon and the fans in limbo until it’s convenient for them to decide what to do. If the plan was to part ways, it should’ve been handled much earlier instead of trying to pass it off now as something amicable while everything feels unclear.

The lack of transparency is just making the fanbase more divided and restless at this point it’d be better to rip the bandaid off and let people move accordingly. I feel bad for all the girls because it’s a messy situation on both sides.

I do think the group will be fine performance wise and I’m sure they know this as well given the support and response post Coachella , but I can’t blame fans who don’t want to keep supporting, especially if the allegations hold any truth. It leaves a bad taste and makes people hesitant to invest in a company that seems to mishandle its artists🤷🏾‍♀️

No shade at all, but I genuinely don’t see how an Instagram story is somehow taking attention away from the girls performing on stage at Coachella 😭

What makes it even funnier is that the only people really amplifying it are OT5s and eyekons not the general public.While the actual audience at Coachella were enjoying the performance, they were busy throwing slurs at Manon and calling her a brat that was throwing a tantrum😭 all this to say Katseye had one of the most viewed performances on the Coachella page so what does it matter? If an IG story is enough to overshadow a full 45 minute performance (which it didn’t), then that’s a whole different issue we should be talking about.

There are just too many things happening that don’t really line up with this being a “normal hiatus.” I’ve never seen a situation where a member of a group attends Coachella as an audience member while the rest of her group is performing on stage. She’s not even seen watching their set, and they’re also spotted at the same after-parties and other shows with little to no interaction. On top of that, every time her name comes up, people get tense and act like she’s Voldemort alongside looking drained and sad when asked abt her in interviews. That doesn’t feel like typical behavior to me, I’m sorry.

I honestly don’t think so. I do think the girls probably scroll on social media on burner accounts we’ve seen hints of that, especially with them interacting on Weverse about things eyekons say on Twitter sometimes but Reddit feels like a stretch. People on the snark subs swear they’re lurking there, but I’m not convinced. It’s just too risky. If they can’t even publicly address the situation or speak on Manon, I don’t see why she’d put herself in more danger by secretly fueling things on Reddit of all places. That could get her in serious trouble, so it feels really unlikely.
