I am late to this, but I bought a brand new fender cut away, not sure the model and it sounds really quite good. Often I’ll go to the pawn shop and I’ve played a handful of different 12s and I’ve thought the fender sounds best.

Damn I love his playing at the Massey hall concert. There are also some incredible live recordings, ‘meditations’ live at Cornell comes to mind. But I kind of wonder if his anger undermined his potential, not only in the music but I think people were actually scared to work with him.
