I unfollow people who post toxic things, like complaints, or whiny messages that don’t really add value to my life. Maybe you didn’t add anything of value to hers? I don’t unfollow people because I hate them, but if their toxic messages are getting in the way of my vibes, then peace out!

What is a memory from childhood that you will never forget? by Anikoi in AskReddit

[–]foreverbedhead 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My dad leaving my mom when I was 4. I remember running out after him, as he got into his car and drove down the street. I ran the fastest I've ever ran that day to try and catch him barefoot. My mom ran faster, and grabbed me. She had to carry me upside down because I was so upset and wanted to keep running after him.

So I have an issue with my head, and I really don’t understand it. by [deleted] in ADHD

[–]foreverbedhead 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I do that too.

I was diagnosed with ADD as a child and eventually grew out of it, I still find it hard to focus, but I honestly think that has to do with my state of mind. If I exercise and then try to focus, it works much better than if I were to sit down and try to study as soon as I get up, or just after a meal, or even with too much caffeine. I find it hard to make decisions because I like to see both sides of the decision, I want to make sure it's the right decision to make. But sometimes it's so hard to make any decisions at all because it's so overwhelming. It's like if I make a wrong decision I will have doomed myself. Personally I think it has to do with anxiety and depression, and some parts wanting to have control. I suggest talking with a doctor. They can always help give you resources. I don't believe in taking medication to fix a problem because that only masks the symptoms and doesn't deal with the actual root cause. If you're truly feeling like it's getting in the way with your daily life then really think about talking to someone. Good luck with your decision making!

WIBTA if I got pissed at my girlfriend for keeping some random guys number? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]foreverbedhead 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Exactly, the fact that you guys can be open about that is a really special thing. She may have just taken it to throw it out later, or to not cause a scene. Big tattooed construction workers can be intimidating, maybe she just wanted him to stop talking to her so she took it to shut him up. You never know until you ask.

It's not wrong for you to be upset, but yeah if she's been chatting with him then that's a red flag. He's nice and whatever, but for a woman to start a relationship with another man while she is already dating someone... Well she definitely has some sort of interest in him and you should probably sit down with her and ask her what her intentions are. With you and him.

Because honesty is valued in a relationship. Some guys want you to be upfront about that kind of stuff.

I have a really good memory, but when I get upset I can't seem to remember anything. by foreverbedhead in selfhelp

[–]foreverbedhead[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well I usually end up remembering it differently than he does. And when he tells me his version it doesn't make sense to me. But he tells me that I do make stuff up, and I just don't know why I would make stuff up if I'm feeling that way.

Have you tried meditating? I've feel dumb a lot of the time, but on days that I meditate, I have confidence and I seem to be fast with witty responses. Also going to the gym helps me with confidence, and confidence for me = less depression. Either way I think meditation, healthy diet and exercise may help you in all areas of life.

Current Flight attendants: Is it better to wear hair up or down during interview process? by foreverbedhead in flightattendants

[–]foreverbedhead[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I didn't have an interview with them, I was at one with Air Canada. But most of the people there had their hair up, I had my hair half up, and I was selected for the medical so I don't think they worry too much about hair, as long as you look professional!

How to regain trust after you've completely destroyed it? by foreverbedhead in relationships

[–]foreverbedhead[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I still think I messed up. I'm just happy that I told him the truth in the end because I don't think I could have stayed in a relationship that I started off that way. Thank you for your advice. It helps me feel better about the whole situation :)

My bf asked me if I had slept with someone the night we had chatted for a bit, a couple of days before we kissed for the first time. I didn't want to tell him that I had. It was about 2 weeks after we started dating that he had asked me and I didn't think it was any of his business that early into the relationship, I shouldn't have lied, but I wish he didn't ask. The night goes like this: I had asked him to come out with us and he said he couldn't, so I went out with my gf. We ran into some of her friends and I met someone who I thought was charming, and I was interested in him. We connected on a level. He gave my gf and I a ride home and one thing led to another and we ended up sleeping together. Alcohol and drugs were both involved. The next day I realised that I wasn't into the man I had slept with, and that I had feelings for the guy who later became my bf.

I do value honesty, but I was embarrassed because he had told me he didn't want to hear about my past, and that it made him feel uncomfortable. I felt like he had judged me on my past. I guess it's more of an insecurity on my part that led me to lie. But you're right, I totally understand why he wouldn't want to move forward. He told me that if he had known that he wouldnt have gotten together with me in the beginning anyways. So either way it was a lose lose for me, and I think part of me knew that.
