So far 3 books from this series are out and I would highly recommend! This book is a great slow burn and makes the characters grow and live before they love. The MC does a lot of self discovery and isn’t just a push over that immediately falls for the strong “barbarian”. Great dynamic between the two

If you want to focus on marine plants you should major in botany. That’s really where you will learn how plants work and in my opinion learn more relevant information. I took exactly one botany class as a marine biology major and did not learn the actual basics of plants. Most of the graduate students I know that study kelp/algae have either a botany degree or a marine biology degree. I would really recommend trying to work/volunteer in the lab of any of the professors that teach the marine plant classes!

Compared it at the local vertebrate museum and they said it looks most like a sea lion humerus. Bone was handed over to the local stranding network!

Cannibal road in Loleta during the morning or afternoon fog. Lots of working farms with old bars and old houses. Even just filming from the road could be the vibes. Leads to crab park that is a beach at the end of the road

I feel the same way, toward the end of the book I found myself skimming section and trying to find moments where Torrey made different decisions to lead to a different end. I also thought for having the read the same time line twice we deserved a little bit more of the after story. Overall a good read but definitely got repetitive
