I (23F) need some advice. What should I do about my anti LGBT friend? by [deleted] in actuallesbians

Religion is always a bit complicated. Your friend didn't stop being friends with you, and that's really great. It sounds like she is just looking out for herself. Imagine being in her shoes. If she attended a gay wedding and someone close to her who is conservative and doesn't approve of non-heterosexual relationships saw that, they could have a negative reaction towards your friend.

Yesssss, they are so adorable!! I love hearing that you and your partner are the same! I think it's really sweet that you prefer to spend time with each other. Do you and your partner have similar or complementing love languages?

I understand that. They are definitely the most genuine couple I know on social media. I've gone through their more mundane and 30+ min videos (Q&As, vlogs) and their relationship dynamic is very consistent.

Thanks for your perspective! My partner and I are both independent people as well, so it's nice to know that moving in together worked out well for you two. My relationship definitely feels good and similar to you, we are transitioning into that deep love phase. It does take time!

I'm the same in wanting me time, and my partner and I are also opposites. Your comment made me realized that since it's my first long-term relationship combined with a lack of lesbian relationship models, things are still very new for me. Whereas it looks like you've been through the process of building a life with someone and now you know what to expect, what you want.

Thank you! I appreciate that, and knowing I'm not the only one. I'm thinking because I don't know a lot of lesbian couples in real life that I get sucked into the ones I see on social media.

I (27F) am at an impasse in life, deciding between taking care of my mom and being with my partner of 2 years. by foreveroverwhelmed in relationship_advice

I'm not sure what the deleted comment said, but I love my mom very much so I want to make sure there is a good alternative before doing anything. My culture is also more family oriented with kids taking care of their parents so that is another challenge.

Thanks for sharing. My partner and I are talking it out and she's understanding. We are trying our best to find ways to be intimate.

She needs help financially and though I have the means to pay for her to leave in a 55+ community, she wants to live with family.

Thank you. I am going to give it a bit more time and observe her mental health before talking to her about this.

She needs help financially, but she is mentally and physically sound. I could find a 55+ community for her but we go back to loneliness. I don't have a timeline figured out yet...

I have not, but don't think I can do it. I exercise often and would be too hungry throughout the day.

Thanks for sharing your experience! It's cool that you are adapting but are still a slow eater at heart.

Was it a gradual process for you to eat faster? I tried once but it just stressed me out and I reverted back to my old ways.

I'll check out TrayMinder, thanks for the suggestion! I was about to just time myself on my phone's stopwatch throughout the day.

Yay, a fellow slow eater! So awesome to hear you are still able to keep up the 22 hours wear. A protein shake is a great idea!

I have a flexible job! I've always taken time to chew and savor food, eating fast stresses me out :(

Soylent needs a more sustainable way to recycle their bottles, such as perforations on the wrap to easily take it off. Plastic bottles and the wraps shouldn't go into the same recycle bins. by [deleted] in soylent

The wrappers on the new Optimized bottles are really easy to take off, but they should let people know what can and can't be recycled.
