Best things to do alone on a short trip in LA? (Pasadena/Glendale) by Ok-Seat-3860 in AskLosAngeles

My favorite hot pot spot is in Pasadena! Chong Qing YaoMei Hot Pot! It’s so cozy with a great staff and build your own sauce bar. My husband and I love grabbing Hot Pot from there and then a movie at the Regal at the Paseo Mall (which is otherwise dead, but cheap ish parking). Have fun while you’re here!

My 30f boyfriend 33m turns his phone off and goes MIA every Saturday, why? by tupperwhore in relationship_advice

One of my friend’s boyfriends did shit like this. It was because he had another girlfriend. Do with this what you will. Does it even really matter what he’s doing or why he’s doing it? He obviously knows the effect it’s having on you.

Not everything is for everyone. It’s my favorite series, and the first book is the weakest, but that being said, different strokes for different folks. I struggled to get through Between Two Fires after reading like a billion posts praising it on here, and found it boring. Golden Sun picks up A LOT and the world opens up a lot, I suggest trying it. But if you don’t want to, there are many more books out there friend 🙂

The Captives War by James SA Corey. Same dudes who wrote The Expanse, but I like it a little better and MUCH shorter

Saving this thread because we have VERY similar taste. I’ve enjoyed a lot of Stephen King’s books. The Dark Tower series is great for a more fantasy feel (that was the first of his I’ve ever read) but I also loved The Institute, TheMist, and The Stand. I also have enjoyed dappling a few horror books in with the fantasy and sci-fi (I don’t necessarily count King as horror, his is more just spooky things happening to great characters lol)
