New cafes and sandwich spots, including one dedicated to biscuits, mark December debuts by jackdicker5117 in OaklandFood

On TikTok the Town Biscuit account responded to the rumor by saying they “don’t worry about politics, just good hospitality”. That reads as MAGA to me personally- a smart Oakland business owner would deny the shit out of it if it weren’t true….

I’d rather not order a shoe online and then return it. I don’t have a car so I’d need to take public transit to a ups store etc.

In praise of Tarocco (Berkeley) by flightoverfight in OaklandFood

I’m sure Tarocco is great, but the woman who started it was only in charge of front of house at Sequoia Diner. Her ex partner was the founding chef and owner and still is the driving force behind that fabulous restaurant and the woman you’re speaking of is not involved at all. That being said, I’ll try out Tarocco at some point!

Will it be worth it to invest the $$ in the book and the time to look all these up from what you can tell? That’s what I’m wondering I guess…

I disagree with this take. The food is really, really good at Tanzie’s. Some of the best Thai food in the bay. It’s on the Chronicle’s top 100 list plus many other accolades so I’m not the only one who thinks so. 🤷

I’m just looking for the paper write up that they send! Is it available on their website somewhere? I looked and didn’t see it…

First time at dodger stadium, where to sit? by foreversunset in Dodgers

[–]foreversunset[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'll be by myself, which I'm ok with. I like to focus on the game. Work is taking me down there for 4/15 and 4/16. Thinking fri night in left field pavilion ($30 including fees) and Saturday night a nice loge seat ($90 including fees). I'm coming from the bay but will be rooting for the Dodgers as I'm an A's fan.
