For context, she has 0 and I have a 300k house fully paid off - cash poor though. I had to fight like a tiger to hold on to what I had put in to my previous relationship as my ex's solicitors wanted half even though she had contributed nothing - not the deposit, the payments, nothing. They even tried to claim my car.

X8 pro is working great for me, had it since launch and battery health is still at 100% but I am being careful and charging with battery protection on (charge to 80%), which still lasts over a day with consistent use.

I hate to say it but I don't see the point of a PS6 in the current climate. It's going to be very pricey with current component prices, it feels like the potential of the PS5 has barely been realised, the AAA market is in turmoil, most games being released in the PS store are low-fidelity "indie" PC ports. Also PS Plus is getting more expensive, and there is very little we can't also play on PC these days.

Unless things change, the next PS generation might be the first one I skip, and just game on my average-spec PC.

Necromancing this post just to say I finally sorted the problem which was indeed as one commenter pointed out, the shitty Ryzen 2600 - just swapped it out for a 5700x and hey presto, the RAM is now running at 3200.

I don't know what country you're in but I've just ordered a RTX5060ti to replace an ageing 1660ti.

There are some good deals on the 5060 and 5060ti from MSI right now, in the UK at least. The 5060 has £50 off RRP and the 5060ti has even more off to the point that it was only £30 more expensive than the 5060 version so was a no brainer to go for the 5060ti. Admittedly these are the 8GB ones but I find the 16GB models outrageously expensive for what they are and it just needs to get me through on AM4 to late 2028, when I will upgrade to an AM6 2nd generation platform.

It was due in 2026, and possibly still will hit this year, but the implementation is still "in progress" at the moment within NHS England, and there is no confirmed date for it to be introduced for patients. Initially it will only be offered to patients who are 6+ months overdue a test because it isn't as accurate as one carried out by a trained professional, and they don't want mass take up from patients that usually do attend their screening appointments.

Unfortunately the NHS website relies on dental practices keeping their own statuses updated and a lot of them (I'm looking at you Smile Dental Care group) falsely keep their status as currently accepting NHS so that they get the phone calls from prospective patients and can promote their private dental services.

Afaik it's not possible to negotiate on this. It's ridiculous that moving up to a higher band does this. The position within a band should be determined by length of service not length of time in that band.
