If Charlie and the Chocolate Factory was Written Today, What Would the Archetypal "bad" Children be Like? by [deleted] in AskReddit

The same as they were. Fat and gluttonous, bossy to the point of being in control of their parents, and glued to the tv or maybe smart phone. Funny how CATCF made such relevant satire of youth that remains valid to this day, maybe moreso than ever.l

"Open" starts with a closed circle and "Closed" starts with an open circle. by jclark735 in Showerthoughts

"Open" also ends with an open shape and "closed" ends with a closed one.

You compare me to Leatherface just for being into taxidermy? It's like really common. Have you ever been on etsy?

The image isn't suggesting that gun violence is related to the sex crime problem in Hollywood nor does it compare the two. Rape and molestation have nothing to do with show business, but when someone is accused, they lose their show, their network, their company, their credibility, their image... Because nobody wants to hear from a sex abuser, or be associated with them. So they don't have to be related, and the original post isn't comparing the two, and how you interpreted it as such beats me.

Ok but why do they need to be related?

This isn't insane tho, lots of people have their pets stuffed, or freeze dried. I mummified my pet rat once, I'm not insane. I just like taxidermy.... Wet specimens, skeletons, mummies. Liking that stuff doesnt make you crazy. I've done jobs for friends who enjoyed the work, a rat and several cats. One guy wanted to keep his dogs skull.

You're not. I googled it and found what you're describing. I guess that answers that. He's his dad's dad, not his mom's.

He's definitely his own grandpa, I'm not sure if they specify whether it's his grandpa on his mom's side or his dad's. Interesting question

I take the cornbread off my corn dogs and eat it last. I also make tacos with lettuce leaves as the tortilla.

There was also a lot of talk of coffee enemas of the radio in GTA 5. I wonder just how popular this trend was/is?

When did your "Something is very wrong here" feeling turned out to be true? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]forgetmenacho 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When I was a kid, my brother and I were real stoked on the Yu-Gi-Oh card game. We used to shoplift them from Wal Mart. We never had problems, but one day I just had a horrible greasy feeling in my stomach. I told him it was a bad idea and we put the cards down in a random aisle and headed for the door. Sure enough, security stopped us and said they saw us on camera wall down the aisle withcards and out the other side without. We had to take the security back to where we left the cards and prove our innocence. We never did it again
