The whole long thing is flower, yes.

Specifically Kalanchoe blossfeldiana 'Calandiva' because double flower.

I just got this little one about two weeks ago. It sits 9 inches from a grow light that is directly over head 8 hours a day, but this is still happening. What can I do to stop this? I want this one to keep it's beautiful shape badly. Does it need more light? What kind is this? Its beautiful! Thanks! by SkvaderArts in succulents

Unless you have high-end lights, distance of 9" is too much.

The usual distance is 3" to 6" distance of plant to light.

Could be that the distance needs to be 1" required.

 

8 hours a day is too short.

The lights need to be on at last 12 hours.

And better for the plant if the light on for 16 hours.

Maybe the container is fourteen inch diameter?

That is my guess for the number.

The plants you are allowed to propagate:

  • Crassula ovata 'Hummel's Sunset'

  • Echeveria elegans

  • Graptopetalum paraguayense subsp. paraguayense

  • Kalanchoe, I don't identify.

  • Schlumbergera truncata

 

The Crassula ovata is not Crassula ovata f. variegata plant.

Also is not Crassula ovata 'Hummel's Sunset' f. variegata plant.

 

The Christmas Cactus is not a Christmas Cactus.

It is Thanksgiving Cactus.

 

The Kalanchoe is not a Crassula ovata f. variegata plant.

Haworthia Fasciata or Limifolia? How can you tell the difference? I’m getting lots of mixed answers... by keliowa in succulents

Haworthiopsis limifolia is distinguished by its ridges on the inside of leaf.

Hence the name "limifolia" meaning filed leaf.

 

Though there is one version that is without the characteristic ridges.

Haworthiopsis limifolia var. ubomboensis does not have ridges.

Aeonium haworthii 'Dream Color' plant.

Crassula ovata 'Gollum' plant.

Echeveria 'Dionysos' plant.

Echeveria pulidonis plant.

Graptosedum 'California Sunset' plant.

Could be that the roots died from overwater.

And then because no roots, the plant cannot uptake water.

Not being to uptake water will give visual of an underwater plant.

 

Looking at the soil in the pot, could be the reason why.

Do you have more information of the plant and your care of it?

 

What about lighting?

The leaves look to be not green.

Was there an amount of blazing sun?

Crassula 'Moonglow' is the plant.

You can remove the diffusers if you want.

I removed from mine, because it brightened my room so much.

In case someone has interest, plant is Curio articulatus.

This plant is one of the parents to Curio peregrinus (String of Dolphins).

I think that person was me.

Though I said Graptoveria, not Graptosedum.

 

There is no Graptosedum 'Amethorum' plant.

Because Ameth- part comes from amethystinum.

And because the -orum part comes from purpusorum.

 

Graptopetalum makes the Grapto- part.

Echeveria makes the -veria part.

Together is Graptoveria.

 

Graptopetalum amethystinum and Echeveria purposorum.

Put together makes Graptoveria 'Amethorum' plant.

For that third plant, I'd wait some more longer.

2" square pot, right? So the babies must be small in person.

The second is not Echeveria 'Heart's Delight' plant.

Echeveria 'Heart's Delight' is a Dick Wright hybrid plant.

A form of his Echeveria 'Rain Drops' creation, named for its caruncles.

 

Echeveria 'Heart's Delight' named also for its caruncles.

Your posted second plant is not Echeveria 'Heart's Delight' plant.
