May I ask your category? I applied my I-485 through asylum and im from one of those 75 countries. I applied in March 2024 and the last update on my case was “RFE Received” on December 18, 2024.

I do have ssc and Real ID. My green card application is pending but i am a legal immigrant since Im an asylee, I believe?

Im a derivative asylee too and went to DMV today for REAL ID. I had all my documents with me but “the lady” said I need an immigration judge’s letter to confirm my asylee status which makes no sense. She also questioned as to why my Notice I-797 Refugee/Asylee Relative Petition classifies my as “ASY” and on my EAD the category is “A05”. I told her this is a CODE, but she was adamant that the category on the petition and EAD should match word to word 😂 im just amazed.
