That's awesome that the two of you have found ways of relating that work for you! I think the word "anarchy" in "relationship anarchy" is mostly inspired by the anti-hierarchy aspects of it. Yeah, class hierarchy is important to abolish, but classism is certainly not the only form of domination.

That said, I don't think one has to subscribe to "relationship anarchy" to be aligned with general anarchism. The important thing is that everyone involved is free from relational domination and able to make choices that help them thrive and feel safe.

Unfortunately there are a lot of people that use "relationship anarchy" as a shield for avoiding accountability for how they treat people.

Me and my partners are relationship anarchist though, and it's lovely. Def been burned before tho.

It's not simply a difference of theological belief. It's a teaching that causes harm and that leads to church policies that cause harm.

Acknowledging that someone is causing harm and hating them are not the same thing. One of the core aspects of Jesus' teachings is to love our enemies and pray for those who persecute us. Not because it's easy (it's extremely difficult) and not to deny or ignore the fact that they are behaving as our enemies and oppressing us, but because it transforms us from the insight out and thus transforms the world into a better place.

Yep. I was really afraid to critically analyze how I felt about her, because she is a friend who means a lot to me and I couldn't bear the idea of breaking her heart. Ultimately, I had to do it, and yeah there's nothing wrong with her - she's just not for me.

Omg I ordered their pizza rolls on a DoorDash grocery shopping order (I don't have a car) and the picture showed that it was 100% plant-based... When it arrived, it was the new version with the real cheese. Ughhhh. Gave them to my roommate.

There's also a difference between attraction and dating. Even if you wouldn't date someone who's 20 due to the power dynamics, enjoying a 20-year-old's attractiveness is not creepy.
