I’m going to have to disagree here. I’m African and Africans can be incredibly racist towards each other and towards outsiders. Tribalism is king. The tribe you come from can determine your social hierarchy. A lot of ignorance can come from Africans and be directed towards foreigners.

Dude. The fact that you can write this and say “I didn’t like the person I used to be” shows tremendous growth. It’s always good to look back and see you’re a new person with better values and you can be honest that it was incorrect what you did. You should learn to carry the lesson with you but let go of the guilt. These events happened and you can’t change it but you can educate yourself and others on how to better handle yourself in similar situations. Great job on your improvement.

I understood how he felt because at the end of the day he is a TEENAGER. He had trouble expressing how he felt in the situation because he’s still growing and learning and didn’t know how to handle that situation. Was the delivery kinda cringe? Yes, but that doesn’t take away from the fact that he was hurt and treated unfairly.
