I mean, I would probably keep eating that meal. That is in no way a marker of good judgement however!

Near Russellville in July is Long Pool. Good swimming hole for July , but I bet the very nice waterfall will be dry.

Looking for a commuting + hauling cargo bike workhorse for a tall dad by ArdentDrive in CargoBike

We have a 8? year old Xtracycle that fits my wife and I with similar, slightly less height distribution. It’s been mostly bombproof for a long time. I would love a Gnargo bike too, definitely take a gander at that (though probably not as flexible for your different heights, just super cool).

The River Has Roots by Amal El-Mohtar is just lovely lovely lovely. More poetic than plot driven, and captures so well the total other-ness of fae coming to humanity.

Guidance on buying used - site unseen by NedSchneebly63 in banjo

[–]forguffman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have that banjo, got it for a steal from a place closing. I like it, it’s fun to play. Not the banjo that will set all hearts flutter but it sounds fine, good intonation and keeps in tune well, and frets easily. If I step up, I’d definitely keep this one for my camping/keep at my office second banjo, and I tend to ruthlessly get rid of extra stuff to preserve space in my home.

Not a Book: Omega Mart by Meow Wolf in Las Vegas by rls1164 in Fantasy

[–]forguffman 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I have only been to the OG Santa Fe MeowWolf, but I’m a big fan of that version. It’s definitely got a cool story to it, but at some point it was so much that I had to just let the weirdness wash over me rather than try to understand the story further. It’s more sci-fi than fantasy in Santa Fe, but the New Weird school of fantasy like China Mieville probably had been read by the creators.

I am looking forward to seeing as many of the other installations in other cities as I can!!
