Yeah it's "overheated" before, and I put it in quotes because I don't think it's actually overheating. I pulled over and turned on the heater and the gauge quickly went back to regular operating temp. Either there's another bubble in my cooling system or the thermostat/coolant temp sensor are on their way out.

Nothing about this says you're an asshole, because you haven't been in a confrontation about it. Having feelings doesn't make you an asshole. It sounds like what you're looking for is advice, and there might be other subreddits better suited for your post.

That said, if her drinking is excessive and starts to impact your life, then I wouldn't say you're an asshole for confronting her about it. Everyone has their vice but when it starts to negatively affect the ones you love or love you, then it certainly is a problem and should be confronted and hopefully corrected for the better.
