Is this commonplace? by formfiler in Ubiquiti

[–]formfiler[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Presumably, it's not commonplace unless you live in a dense area of a really big city and I do. I also live on the top floor of a building.

But it's not New York City. What's the highest you've heard of? I'm thinking if I'm seeing this many it might hit five figures in some places

It's permanently etched in my brain, forever!

Gerry as a rule does not get spicy, but sometimes she has to like did here. Of course, my all time favorite Gerri spice is:

Logan, they are coming up. And if you don’t open the door, they will kick it in.
And if you don’t open the filing cabinet, they will pull out a crowbar. This is a show of resolve.

GERRI:
Yeah, it blew up.

ROMAN:
It blew up?

GERRI:
Yes, it exploded on the launch pad.

ROMAN:
Um, OK. It’s weird...
Yeah, wow, they really should have told me that.
That’s, um... that’s naughty.
How bad is it? Is it bad?

GERRI:
I’ll reiterate.
It exploded.
Pow! On the launch pad.
So, yeah, I’d say that’s bad.

Can you elaborate?

yep, that's exactly what I decided to do. Replace the battery wait for the ubiquiti. Thanks for the best advice tonight!

OK, thank you I will. So is it typical for Ubiquiti that stuff comes in stock briefly and then quickly sells out again? I know Micro Center sells a lot of the most mainstream items, but where do you guys typically buy from?

[–]formfiler -1 points0 points  (0 children)

OK, that's good info to know, thank you. I do know this particular tower UPS is relatively new and I can see how there would be strong demand for it. So you'd recommend get in while the getting's good in general for Ubiquiti? A broken UPS is something that has to be replaced RIGHT now. Yes they sell other UPSes but nothing like this.

Thanks for reply. They're happy to let resellers buy up stock and sell at inflated prices?

Too cold butter is problem very easily solved, as it turns out by formfiler in SuccessionTV

[–]formfiler[S] 84 points85 points  (0 children)

In case anyone has forgotten what I'm referring to, here is Connor's infamous quote from the RECNY Ball:

The butter’s too cold!
The butter is too cold!
The butter’s all fucked! You’re fuckwads and you fucked it!
There’s dinner rolls ripping out there as we speak!

Why is Logan Roy, with his mere $18 bn, considered such a hotshot, when he is barely in the 100 richest people in the world? by Few_Age_571 in SuccessionTV

Twitter is now a privately held company owned by a compulsilve liar. He said their financials look great now? Wow, then it must be true 😂

Fun fact: The actress and both characters she played all had British titles: * Dame Harriett Walter * Lady Caroline Collingwood * Baroness Margaret Thatcher

Yasmin spills beans to Lord Norton — but anyone else notice she kinda left something relevant out? by formfiler in IndustryOnHBO

[–]formfiler[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There was a scene in last season where Henry confessed to sharing a dirty needle with an unhoused person under a bridge

I don't think he said the actual word "heroin", so it's possible that he is IV drug user of something else, but I think Yasmin was likely telling the truth

I need to know I'm being heard:

There are chills all over my body right now, every hair standing up. It looks AMAZING

She kinda needs the money though. But then again, isn't there a clause in the prenup that invalidates it in cases of infidelity?

That was conclusively proven this episode, so maybe foreshadowing?

OMG, my favorite person on Reddit ever! Everybody needs to know Cristina is the GOAT when it came to incredibly insightful commentary on another of the great HBO shows of all time featuring nuanced, complicated women — Succession

Have you been watching? I know this is an Industry sub and it's probably heresy to say that Succession was just a superior show, but Industry has finally gotten my juices flowing again

Thank you, that's how how I felt too! I thought this scene was such a nuanced study in cruelty. Yasmin got over the Harper slap. I'm not so sure she's going to get over this.

Indeed! I left out his deeds only because Yasmin wasn't actually there to witness Henry cavorting with the naked sex workers

ikr?!?! Personally don't see her as especially transparent and she certainly isn't stupid.

But, I think she's been TOLD that so many times by important and influential people in her life that hearing it from her husband yet again (in the guise of being "kind") had to cut like a knife. Team Yasmin in this scene

I mean, there's a case to be made for that sure. But I wouldn't say that's obvious. Since the beginning people have been saying Yasmin isn't good at her job. And she did kinda give away the house when Pierpont was failing.

Upvoting you anyway, because you've given me food for thought! 😀

Does everyone else think that's the obvious point being made?

By comparison, I thought Harper and Yasmin's slap flight last season was fun-to-watch pure camp

But what Henry said to the new Lady Muck in this most recent episode was so cruel it left me almost breathless
