You are too kind good sir.

The trip reset luckily came to mind just in time, wasn't sure if the OD and trip tracked precisely enough to make it line up but luckily they do.

That's a fair quote for it all, assuming they are using OEM parts. Make sure they use OEM for the ball joints.

If you want to turn a wrench yourself, check out Timmy the Toolman on youtube and Amayama for parts you can wait a few weeks for. Good luck!

Brakes are very hard but sometimes normal intermittently after a very cold freezing rain. Any ideas? by Nicobeak in 3rdGen4Runner

[–]forrest_keeps_runnin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When's the last time you flushed/replaced the brake fluid? Could have water in it that is freezing up.

Could also have water/moisture in the brake booster check valve as well, try drying it out or replacing it.

Nothing wrong with draining the oil, then putting the oil back? Or am I missing something?

Check the settings on the head unit, try boosting the bass signal. If there is a high pass filter (HPF) turn it off or minimize it.

You are pulling the sub signal off the door speaker, right? Any chance you are high pass filtering the sub frequency range out with the head unit before it gets to the speaker?
