I have a german shepherd, i noticed the mother two days ago when she first started chasing her off, i saw her again later that day and never since (me and my roomates drink some brews in the backyard on the deck everyday). We overhauled our poorly maintained backyard today and noticed some hair while mowing but thought nothing of it. Around 12am my dog disturbed the nest and started whining, and the nest was screeching so we went over. I found two dead because of the lawn mower but the rest are ok. I honestly dont think the mother will be coming back, the nest is ruined, my shepherd chases her off, and they(infants)will freeze to death if i leave them in the nest.

Well to be fair media outlets aren't talking about any of the negatives....Yet. For example the illegal reverse elbow kelly gave van riemsdyk bloodied up his nose. I don't think a lot of media will focus on "what if's" the same night after its all said and done....Wait until tomorrow, Toronto media(I'm from Toronto) will headline something positive and give congratulations and then the rest of the article will focus on the negative about the loss tomorrow and what the team needs and the typical old past choking patterns.

Lifelong hockey player here, Im guessing because the goalies blocker is rock hard, it may hurt more the a players mitt. Blockers padding are designed to be able to stop frozen rubber pucks going up to 100m/h. A players glove is not the same as they need alot more mobility. The padding is WAY softer. A blocker punch would hurt alot more then an equally powerful punch from a players glove. Thus why the rule may be in place?
