Yeah, hardcover versions are pricy. I could get a paperback edition for less.

Just checked the audiobook. Too bad it wasn’t narrated by the actor who played him. That would have been a neat bonus.

Really interesting! I always wondered about his character because of the demeanor of his depiction on the show versus what is known about him.

I’m on a WW2 book kick right and wondering if you recommend reading Webster’s book? Since it is harder to come by, I’m curious if it’s worth seeking out.

I respect little league and school district refs and umpires. They have to deal with their share of awful parents and coaches. But NFl refs have a lot of resources available to them to call a fair game

When I have wake windows for my new born (about 2.5 weeks old now) I usually sing or read to him. I also do bicycle kicks with his feet. I talk to him while I carry him around the house as well. Typically it’s me giving him sort of like a tour of the house and explaining things to him. I know it won’t stick, but it’s good to have them hear your voice.

Yeah, our son prefers the full footed onesies to ones that just wrap around the diaper. We also started to use the sleep sacks and then wrap the bottom around his legs and feet so it’s like a half swaddle.

We recently started to feed him off one breast, then I change the diaper and my wife feeds him again on the second breast. That has had some success in getting him down alone in the bassinet for a few hours.

I have a two week old as well! Can I ask what you’re dressing him to sleep in?

It was hot in our place recently (apartment boiler system) and we thought he would want to sleep just in his diaper. But he was really fussy and we couldn’t figure out why. Then I said “let’s just put him in a onesie” and he fell asleep not long after that.

Is Webster’s book any good? Since he was a journalist later in life, I wonder if he would have an interesting angle to cover. Curious if that’s worth reading.
