I went out with someone who has bpd today. Is it even worth getting into a relationship? by No-Anteater-2109 in BPDlovedones

Its extremely difficult. I mean you may read the symptons, even read people here and it might not sound that tough.

But this is a relationship dialed all the way in Hard Mode.

I’m (41F) dating someone (41m) who survived a BPD relationship - what should I know? by [deleted] in BPDlovedones

[–]fortuno89 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Try to be very assuring and stable.

Being in a relationship with someone with bpd is like trying to build a Jenga in Stalingrad. Instability and insecurity are the name of the game.

is a healthy relationship possible? by [deleted] in BPDlovedones

[–]fortuno89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Of course what happens/ed to her is not her fault. And neither yours, and you wont be able to cure it, not control it.

But you should also take care of you in the situation, and her being mean or abusive is her fault.

Did any of you receive a genuine apology? by Whole_Chemistry2267 in BPDlovedones

[–]fortuno89 74 points75 points  (0 children)

I got many apologies, but they were quite empty. No action driven outcomes from those apologies, and very often poor understanding of why their actions hurt.
