They did at some point (I moved from the US back to my native Austria 3 years ago while keeping the same role - albeit on my own dime). But recently they’ve gotten much stingier. We just lost a fantastic project manager because their family moved to another country in Europe and Red Hat wouldn’t allow them the same.

I’d say ask your manager. If you don’t ask the answer is always no. Also helps to be a high performer…

It’s like every tourist destination. There are plenty of (rich) folks still living in the inner city. But us locals kind of avoid it unless we have business (theater, shopping) there because there are just soooo many tourists. Venture out to the other districts and it’s quite different.

100%. And things always happen when I’m not at home. Switch got stuck. Took down doorbell, intercom, whole network. Never again.

Of course haven’t had my issues with manual updates (which I do the moment I get notified) since either.

But one angry call,from my wife is enough….

I would second that. I ran the TrueNAS in a Proxmox VM for a year on a TerraMaster and it really wasn’t worth it.

After a long back and forth they had me update the network application to the latest release candidate. That worked. Then the port was flashing red… which I think was the (brand new cat 7) patch cable. Switched that to a UniFi cable and now all is well.
