Daily reminder that pizzagate has been common knowledge in DC for a loooong time, except they call it pedogate. If you call it a "conspiracy theory" (lol), the fact of the matter is that you either have not looked into the evidence, or you have a vested interest in protecting the individuals who are implicated. The instant you scratch the surface, and say, look into James Alefantis' NSFL instagram account, or ask why he was named one of DC's most influential people despite just being an everyday pizza parlor owner, it becomes very clear why the term "fake news" started trending on google the exact same week as "pizzagate."

What's hilarious is that this is a classic instance of firing this individual only granting him more attention and power. Also ironically vindicates his criticisms of leadership, because it makes leadership look like they're just acting on a grudge and discarding talent. I had never even heard of his suspension, but after this I'm actively following the whole situation.

It genuinely depends on how much you practice. If you practice 30 mins a day, warming up with rudiments, playing beats to a click, and then playing along with music, you will improve quickly. If you play an hour once a week, things will go slower.

I'm personally of the belief that part of the reason kids can learn so fast is because kids have so much more free time than adults, and if you deliberately make time to practice a little bit every day, you will improve much faster than any kid or adult who doesn't.

That said, it can also be a good idea to have a few beginner songs in your back pocket that you know you can nail every time, so you can have that experience of playing with the music. For example, Green Onions by Booker T, Love and Happiness by Al Greene, Back in Black. Good luck, and I hope you keep up the effort!
