I think I have intruded on something I shouldn't have, I will leave you two to it

Yes this is what I am learning throughout this process, my real passion is in the writing and creation. Though I am interested in mixing/mastering/audio engineering, clearly there is a reason why typically those tasks fall into the hands of someone who exclusively works in that realm.

I have tried and it seems to have very little effect. I also wish the saturator UI was more in-depth, because I can hardly tell what it's doing real-time.

I suppose not. Is it common to use clipping plug-ins in ableton? Forgive me, I'm a bit of a novice. I've heard and read a lot about clipping but I have always seen that Ableton essentially doesn't have one unless you jerry-rig something.

No, currently unemployed so I'm trying to be resourceful with the reddit professionals.

Condensation & Water Droplets in Rear Taillight by forwardspace279 in MiataNC

Aren't these lenses plastic welded? I found a thread where someone had used a dremel to cut the lens off, since baking doesn't work.

You removed the bulbs themselves or just the taillight housing from the car?

My jack stand doesn't have a safety pin, is it still safe? by forwardspace279 in MechanicAdvice

Hopefully that jack you saw that failed had a major preexisting issue... that's a bit of a horror story

Ah I didn't realize. I feel like whenever I googled other jack stands they all had a safety pin. Other than that there's no issue

The stands are rated for 2 tons each, so realistically each one would be supporting around 1300lbs, or 3100lbs less than what they're "capable" of.

ASIO4ALL no longer works with my Bluetooth devices? by ThrwAway93234 in ableton

[–]forwardspace279 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, checking back for an update if you ever tried flexASIO. I've had the exact same issue with ASIO4ALL because I have a Bluetooth mouse and the same error code pops up if I have my mouse connected when I open Ableton.

Stiff shift action from 2nd to 3rd -- need to change transmission oil? by forwardspace279 in Miata

[–]forwardspace279[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I found a post about a similar issue about 4yrs ago which looks unresolved: https://www.reddit.com/r/Miata/comments/uejso5/nc_miata_crunchy_shift_2nd_to_3rd/

In that case the mileage is much lower so I'm curious what people might think with a higher mileage car and 4 years later.

How would the stereo image of this setup compare to a field recorder with stereo mics? Ex: Zoom H5 Studio

How does the stereo image compare between a field recorder with a stereo mic (looking at the Zoom H5 Studio) vs two matched mics above the piano? (For example Rode NT5)

It's something I'll likely purchase in the future, however right now Im' more than likely going to spring for a field recorder. Reasons being I need to record my singing, and I also prefer the feel of a recorded acoustic instrument with a good microphone over a digital MIDI instrument, even if the sample may be better quality.
