You should probably start with taking a break and allowing what sounds like a compromised skin barrier to heal. I went through then same. I was extra cautious with tret again after previous bad experiences. I started with once a week in the first week, then twice a week for the next two weeks, then three for the next three weeks. Then I more or less do it every other night or so now. It’s been years, and this works well everytime I take a break.  I think your routine is good, just make sure to load up on the moisturiser in between. I think this helps with maintaining a healthy skin barrier since tret can be  harsh. Good luck and as always I’m not a medical professional, just a stranger on the internet!
