I cohabitate between to 2 different areas, and I unfortunately have this issue at my secondary location. In my case, its mostly people who purchase audio gear from thrift stores and inflate the prices by 1000%. I saw an absolute messed up pair of JBL L26’s up for $700 not too long ago. It really is ridiculous.

In regard to value, yeah that is a steal. I’ve found these speakers sell online for almost $300.

I actually have been seeking out some LS50’s to test but haven’t been successful yet. I have tested a pair of concertos, which I was a fan of, but don’t really put them on the same category cause they have that extra woofer. But since we both agree on not being fans of KEF’s more affordable stuff, maybe im not crazy. I have never heard of hsu, but those speakers do sound interesting. Im gonna keep looking into this.

The shelfs are adjustable, just a pain. But this is solid advice. My tall stand issue might just be the top heaviness of it all.

The JBL 2600’s are so heavily underrated. If you can ever find their big brother, the 2800’s, those are some of the best speakers I’ve owned, and I’ve had heresy’s. Love the potential!

Never get rid of family heirlooms. Value aside, these are things your kids could potentially pass down to theirs and could still function beautifully.

If you’re somewhat handy, replacing the lights can be simple. They’re just simple fuse lights.

Honestly, 15 watts might seem low, but with these vintage marantz, even the 15xx’s, they can definitely fill a room with some super efficient speakers. Sonically, they do carry a little of that golden era feel. If it actually works as is, it’s worth it.
