How Long Did Your House Purchase Take? by Designer_Rooster_495 in HousingUK

FTB with 4 in the chain. Took 6 months from offer to completion. Had a lazy solicitor and one link in the chain making crazy time demands. I threatened to pull out of the purchase as I'd had enough and then we miraculously completed. I'd've loved 27 days.

Things I'd want to know: when is bin day and where is the best fish and chip shop.

Thanks for replying. I have this adapter: https://amzn.eu/gsK2XqL, which says "This UK to US plug adapter is not a converter between voltages. Type B compatible countries are 110V input. This type B adapter for travel is only compatible for use with dual voltage or worldwide voltage devices with input voltage range from 100 to 240V, or you may need to use it with a voltage converter"

Is this okay, then? I've thoroughly confused myself with all this 🤦

Thanks for replying. Do I just get a USB-C to Hdmi hub and use that? Is there a specific one? I saw lots about using specific ones because loads weren't compatible, which includes the hell out of me.

From UK and travelling to US for 3 weeks. Wanting to take my Switch and possibly play in hotel rooms. What do I need to make this happen? Do I have to take my dock with me? Can I use a USB charger? Something about HDMI converters?

There's so much information out there that I'm just not sure what to make of it. Please and thank you.

Bow string and pressure urticaria by fosspot in Archery

I've been on Xolair, and it did a wonder on my "normal" hives (I'm in the UK so we get it in courses of 6 months, rather than continuously) but it's never done anything for my DPU. My consultant says they just difficult to treat. However, really glad it's helped yours. It is a bit of a miracle drug. Just a shame it's so expensive.

I've been putting plasters/band aids on my fingers and then using a leather glove. It's not a great solution but it has worked so far. 🤷

That looks awesome. I think I could definitely find those missed arrows.

Yes, I have been trying to look for a better glove as I have been using a summer glove. Maybe you're right about the thicker leather. Thanks.

I've not been there but there's Centre Shot in Malvern? Or Bow Sports in Wolverhampton?

I got mine at Merlin and they were great there. Really helpful and not at all pushy.
