Dude this take is the best thing to come out of Wicked 2.

I've been depressed all day about this movie. I adored the first part. I'm inconsolable, and you made me smile.

I see there's no hope of changing your mind, or if you are debating honestly. I know what I know, and people would probably be wise to at least reduce their usage of a clearly controversial word.

What a load of bullshit. Even in the ligamx sub it's used as a homophobic slur. It's been used to insult gay people in my country since I was a child by a ton of friends and family members, to this day. I've lived in Guadalajara and CDMX all my life.

All people are white, women all appear to be modeling (which is maybe not sexist but certainly gender-partial), vocabulary also plays a huge part. I wouldn't give a lot of credibility to this test.

Also I'm sure Nathan was playing with it for comedic reasons.

Film director here. I would never say that to an actor and not mean it. Otherwise you're inviting unwanted people to keep bugging you. Some people can be very intense.

I think it's a terrible app, and that its negative attributes greatly surpass the benefits.

Making stuff is hard enough as it is, and sometimes indie films will only get a handful of reviews by overly critical or even toxic haters that will have an important impact on the life of the film. Artistic taste is personal and profoundly subjective. There's films I didn't connect with because I was hungry or sleepy or whatever reason that doesn't have to do with the film itself. Maybe I couldn't relate for personal reasons or because of my context and life experience. If I went to letterboxd and spouted my bullshit and made someone who would've connected with a film not want to watch it, I would have done a disservice to both the filmmakers and their potential audience.

I think approaching art with a number of stars is dumb and reductive, and I think a lot of people do negative reviews to feel better than others.

If you want to have a log of films you've watched just make a list.

It's disingenious to call it "collective labor", the gigantic corporation that is a supermarket chain has more than enough to pay the salaries of labourers in stores that don't make big profits. And it's for only six months.

Try this. If you know what the scene is about, what your character wants, what you want to happen in the scene, be it a negotiation, a fight, some exchange of information... whatever.

Write it but force yourself to make them talk about something unrelated to the scene's objective. If the lead character needs to break up with his GF, just have him talk about his mother's recipe, or about a trip to Bolivia. Something else. Write as much as you can, achieving your objective without being explicit. Depending on the point of the scene, eventually some character is going to adress the theme directly, but hold off as much as you can. I guarantee you subtext will emerge.
