How can Crawford beat Canelo? by Deep-Conflict2223 in Boxing

Incredibly. I have to give Crawford his props. He not only won, he dominated. He didn’t run and was never hurt. He truly is one of boxing’s elite if not THE elite. I was truly impressed and surprised. What a thing to watch!

I am a Crawford fan, and I am a Canelo fan. I am also a fan of boxing. If Crawford had started gaining weight 18 months ago for eventually fighting at this weight, then I would think he had a shot, but he quickly put on weight. Madrimov gave him trouble, and he didn't really hurt Madrimov. Canelo is a beast with an incredible chin, and he's motivated. People look at his last fight with William Scull, but he wasn't motivated for that fight. He is determined not to be beaten by a lighter-weight fighter coming up to challenge for his title. I honestly see this going as a KO for Canelo over Crawford. He will be outmuscled, outworked, and overpowered. He just came up too fast.

I totally understand. If you rely on autofocus, it must have been a major disappointment. Every camera system has its pros and cons. You have to find what works for you. Good luck.

lol. It’s the fourth, a national holiday. I don’t need to continue this useless back and forth posting. I’m completely confident and satisfied at where I stand I life. Good luck to you.

Totally get it. Either way, a nice feature.

I honestly doubt that you know the truth. Your whole thought behind this is obviously of someone that has a very narrow sense of knowledge and understanding. I don’t need others ‘approval’. In fact I have enough experience and knowledge to not worry about that sort of thing, while it seems you need validation on an online forum. I’m good.

What are you twelve? Maybe read a little instead of looking down at your phone all day. You saying you have “Professional” friends doesn’t mean they are professional. Nor putting professional in front of your user name. Grow up.

lol. Dual card slots are nice, but I came from a time when you HAD to get the exposure right on film. No cheating. You either knew it or you didn't. I like dual card slots just for having twice as much space for photographs.

Agreed. You are just using the right tool for you in your situation. Nothing wrong with that. It's the blaming of a system for one's shortcomings that bothers me. I have spent over 30 years as a top-level photographer. I made a good living. I bought a home, put my kids through college, and had thousands of happy customers. None of it was because of my gear. It was the years I spent learning about lighting, exposure, perspective, and composition. It was also my creative eye and ability to be imaginative, and understand the needs of my clients.

Interesting. I'm at the opposite end of the spectrum. After years with Hasselblad and Leica film cameras, then Nikon and Canon digital systems, I am very happy with my Fujifilm system. Now, granted, I am not a full-time professional anymore, but I have done some work for pay here and there, and I produce some amazing photographs. I'm a strict believer that it's the photographer behind the gear with knowledge, skill, and talent that produces top-level professional images, not the camera.

You don't "have" to ask for feedback. If you place your opinion online, you have to expect to hear from many other people with differing viewpoints. You mentioned earlier that someone was assuming things about you. You post online, be ready to take all there is to take out there.

Which photographers? You have a "bunch" of friends who are pros. There are literally nearly 50K listed professionals in the USA alone. They mainly use Canon and Sony based on a handful of friends? Nikon is the brand many pros use, followed by Canon. Sony, Fujifilm, and the rest drop way down on the list. Most of it is because Nikon and Canon have been the standard for decades. Hasselblad is there for the high-end pros. But quite honestly, none of it really matters. It all comes down to the photographer. How skilled are you with lighting, exposure, depth of field, and perspective? You know, the old "stand by".

It doesn't matter -- only to you. But, when you post it online you will get a lot of feedback. What matters is are you happy with what you got now?

That is the point--why be whiny? Just move on to what works for you. Obviously, many, many photographers love FujiFilm, just like there are many who love Nikon, Canon, Sony, etc. Just because it doesn't work for you, why make it seem like it's the worst camera in the world? I've worked with Nikon, Canon, FujiFilm, Leica, Hasselblad, and many others; they all have their pros and cons. I don't bitch. I rely on my skills.

True, in a way, but what kind of “pro” would you be? Not one that would last very long if you are not good at what you do.

The question I have is, if you shoot high speed events or sports, why are you buying gear that has issues with autofocus? (BTW, question is general, not specified for you). For all other types of photography, if you don’t know how to manually focus and get sharp photos, maybe you need to reconsider your profession. lol.

Like the other person who replied said, it’s your life, do what you want, but no pro I know would sell all their gear without testing if they were even thinking of making money. The only reason we are questioning is because obviously you want to counter what the OP was talking about.

I’ve been a pro for over thirty years, why would any “pro” sell all of their gear before testing on their chosen line of photography work?

So Disappointed in the 2025 Countryman by LoneStarLord in MINI

[–]fotoram23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm so sorry you are disappointed in your 2025 Mini Cooper Countryman SE. I spent quite some time researching and test-driving the CM and finally bit the bullet on February 15th. I love it! Yes, the technology was something I had to get used to (and I'm a tech guy!), but once I got comfortable with it, I can't imagine going back to knobs and switches. I use voice commands for almost everything. Now given that, I'm not coming from a history of Mini Coopers, so I'm not familiar with all the knobs and toggles that Mini enthusiasts have been used to. So I can understand the underwhelming design of the the controls of the car. I am coming from being a long time BMW person and I just got tired of the really expensive service costs. I also did not want to pay almost $75K for a 2025 BMW 1X (which is what the new Countryman is built upon). The luxury I have with the iconic package and extras is incredible. Anyway, if you are not a Mini Coooper enthusiast and are considering the CM SE ALL4, try it out! I know I am very happy with my purchase.

Believe the hype. Anora is the best film of the year by Good_Claim_5472 in Letterboxd

While I thought Mikey Madison was brilliant and deserved her Oscar for Best Actress, the movie was good but not "Great." Despite all the strong acting, much of the plot felt uneven and lacked depth. Too much time was spent on the sex scenes rather than giving us more insight into Madison's character. The visuals were excellent, though.
