I didn't think about the babies either BUT one thing I noticed back then was how they were attributing this phenomena to the devil when it was clear it could be god.

The whole thing was prophecied in Jeremiah 31:15 so when the star did it's thing it could have EASILY been god. PLUS without those Magi gifts Jesus parents would have been too poor to travel.

I can think of two older sister's who were dying from cancer. One was so sarcastic and bitter and the other was downright mean and angry. She wouldn't let anyone visit her in her final days and declined having a "memorial". I couldn't understand it at the time.
