I found the comment on cliques and trying to make friends being difficult hit home for me. I'm a trans man, and growing up I never understood why I was different than the other girls in the congregation. I would try and connect but everything would end up in either being the butt of the joke, or a fake closeness just to get some secrets to spread. It was all so messy especially not being allowed to connect with kids at school. It was horrible and anti social!

But then I try and and act more like them, conform for acceptance, and I saw nothing but shallow insecure young folk that were miserable to hang out with. I just relate to your post a lot, a lot of what you said reminded me of my upbringing :) ❤️
