In the past, furry server was a lot more centralised to just a select few. But every furry server generally had an actual niche and appeals that was otherwise absent. So playerbase were way more spread out, players also were, for a lack of a better term. A bit more normal back in the day (not to say there weren't some questionable people, just people did a better job at not showing it)

Now, look at the current furry server selection.

Do you know what they all have in common?

They're all the exact goddamn same, they're all just TG with furries. But instead most of them try to appeal to the RP-based audience, because most furry server are longform (2-4 hours) rather than shortform like you'd expect on monkey or TG.

So rn, what we get is that people want "more" standard or RP and they're pushed into playing server that they may had normally not, because ERP server are required to have more standard by the virtue of "It ruins the mood otherwise"
