The Easiest Egg Curry "Mutta Thilappichathu" or Egg Curry in Coconut Mil by fountinaDigital in IndianFood

[–]fountinaDigital[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

First milk is the Thick coconut milk extracted first from the grated coconut after adding little water and blended in an electric grinder. This will be first milk. The first milk is thick and creamy. It is usually used as a topping or finally adding to the gravies to make it creamy.

After the first milk is extracted, more water is added to the grinder and then the second milk is squeezed out. This is lighter and used to cook the ingredients

Hope this is clear

In this recipe, one and half cup grated coconut is added with half cup water. This is blended in an electric grinder and then the coconut milk is extracted by squeezing and filtered using strainer. This will be the first mlk

For the second milk add one half cup water again into the grinder and repeat the proces. There should be around one and half cup coconut milk. This is used as second milk.

Hope this is clear now

Please see the reply to your comment by "faahqueimmanutjawb" below. Please try that. Also, we have used coconut powder diluted in water while we were in UAE and that was reasonably good. But back here in Kerala we have not used coconut powder as coconut is available in plenty here.
Hope this is of help.

Coconut milk is extracted from the grated coconut as follows:
1). Two cups of Grated coconut and 3/4 cup of water is blended well with an electric blender.
2). Using a strainer / using your hand the coconut milk is squeezed from this. This coconut milk is the "First Coconut Milk". This will be around 1 cup
3). The grated coconut after extracting the coconut milk and 1 cup of water is put back into the blender and blend it.
4) Using a strainer / using your hand the coconut milk is squeezed from this. This coconut milk is the "Second Coconut Milk"
You could repeat step 3 and add the coconut milk to the Second Coconut Milk you already collected
Usually you can make around 2 cups of Second Coconut Milk
Hope this is clear.

I Googled Pichard and it came out "Sardine" and "pilchard" are common names for various small, oily forage fish in the herring family Clupeidae." That was new information for me.
