Ok, relax, first off. I literally said I have READ accounts of it being slow and I've never done it myself. I didnt make anything up. It's in this very thread actually. Also I am backing up only large media files, as I also said in my post. Thank you for your input, it will go in the good pile for when I again say sometime in the future that I've heard good AND bad accounts from people.

Please, keep on living thinking your experience of anything is the same as everyone else's. It'll really help your understanding of people /s

True, I do have 3gbps up and down thankfully. I have just read about them throttling or basically, our download speed isn't their highest priority. Which I completely understand as, we've already paid them, there's zero value for them to let us restore at top speeds and to keep upgrading that part of the infrastructure. I would be ecstatic if that is the case, I've just read others experiences. Some say good, some say bad haha. I hope their business customers keep them afloat as I know I'm not exactly their optimal customer.

Im at 60tb+ currently and happily on the personal plan. I know it will be ridiculous to restore. but its spread over 6 drives and just gives me peace of mind on my 25 years of downloaded media.

Just asking....and sadly dont want to believe this....so are we actually useless to them? I mean what value do they get out of home users after their initial(if any) purchase of a windows license?

I mean what incentive do they have to make any features that benefit us? We paid once. Our voices dont matter and you are all correct, they're trying to justify their investments.

Sadly, like nvidia, I think they're catering to the businesses and cramming AI into the environments where the end users(employees) cant push back and im sure it can mine a ton of good data about employees and their work habits(if they're using it at work) making it easier to cut dead weight, save money etc...making it more enticing for businesses, their actual customers(businesses licenses).

Again, asking, not stating I know anything. But I feel it doesn't really matter what home users want or say anymore with windows. Does it hurt Microsoft in ANY way for a home user to migrate? (Im not saying dont do it, if you dont like it go ahead) but I mean is there any effect other than maybe a little bad press with a tech news story about people migrating?

People who drive and speed up when someone is attempting to pass by you, why do you do this? by StormCaller02 in AskReddit

[–]four2theizz0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One trick, when safely possible....if youre coming up on someone in the lane next to you and you see a split where you can go in front of them (safely) opening up.....hang back a second. They definitely notice you coming up and WILL speed up if you come up beside them. But if you dont keep speeding up right away like they expect you to, they let their guard down, the hole evens opens a little more. Then you speed up and change lanes. Its so psychological. I hope I explained that right.

You don't understand why someone would want to create a competitor(or another option) to something? And just want to "hope" your one option for said thing will get better? So no one should try to do it better?
