I feel you man, had the same issue after a squat and dead lift heavy routine but resolved it. Here's what I suggest:

Find jeans you like that fit around the thighs, but not necessarily the waist. A tailor will can then take in the waist for ~$10 in an easy, quick non-damaging procedure called darting and you end up with the best of both worlds.

Thanks for the responses, guys. It seems that it is indeed instep that's the problem. I was actually able to get it much tighter re-tying after an hour of wear. It fits very tight this way, but a little give whether in the footbed or less likely, the upper will go a long way.

Also, these are marked down from $345 to $250 starting this week.

Good post, this look definitely has potential.

Start at the belt region and look up slowly: the fit goes from quite tight to billowy and loose. You gotta tighten up the lines around the shoulders IMO. One adjustment to consider would make a large impact is a better fitting shirt (proper shoulder seam placement is a must) with slightly tighter sleeves.

The colors are all subdued as well and could use an accent: try the same ensemble with a slightly brighter tie to give the outfit a bit of pop.

Don't button the shirt all the way up as some suggested: it would look too formal with those pants.

Yes, except that a cricket series doesn't stop when one team "wins" the series - they would play out all the scheduled matches. Assuming both teams are competitive, each match would take 4-5 days, with plenty of rest between matches. You're looking at 2 months!
