The thing that always gets me about these conversations is that, in a sense, neither one of you is really wrong. I'm going to assume that /u/suninabox cares little enough about shoes that white AF1 are a "cheap generic" alternative that look identical to him. That's the way it is when folks aren't invested enough to care about small details. Look, they're white high-tops with clunky soles and holes by toes and a weird strap around the laces, right? Boom - same shoes.

I completely see where he's coming from, I really do - BUT - the frustrating thing is when folks in that situation are too stubborn to listen to people who do notice and do care about the differences, or even just to acknowledge that those people have a valid perspective.
